About us
I started ResearchBox.ai with the goal of making recently published computational biology models and pipelines runnable on the cloud by biologists of all levels, including curious biohackers who want to research their own omics.
To this end I felt it was important that models be available in source code form, and on full graphical desktops instead of web forms, where boxes could be scaled from cheap dual cores to large 200 core boxes with multiple GPUs.
Also to reduce the learning curve to apply the models to datasets and research, I wanted an AI assistant that helps you in every step of the way - from configuring the cloud box and streaming the workspace to your browser, to answering your biology and linux questions and helping you run the commands for your workflow.
We have built an AI assistant and desktop orchestration layer that allows you do just this. I hope you will enjoy using it as much as we do building it !
